Itinerary
Day 0
Upon arrival in Whitehorse, you take the free shuttle to get to your hotel (right there when you exit the terminal). Note that we always try and book hotels which offers the free shuttle but in case there is no more availability, there are always taxis available to drive you downtown (count approximately $25 for a ride from the airport to your hotel). Depending on your arrival time, you will have time to explore Whitehorse and take a stroll on the Millennium Trail or check out the MacBride Museum.
A pre-trip meeting takes place in the lobby of your hotel at 5pm today with your guides. This is the perfect opportunity to ask any last-minute questions about your backpacking adventure in Kluane National Park, do a gear check and meet your fellow adventurers!

Day 1
Once we have signed up, we drive north to Kluane Lake, Yukon’s largest Lake, and set up camp for the night. We enjoy a hearty meal together and discuss the last details of our adventure to come.
Days 2 to 7
Up there, we set up camp for 2 two nights, so we have time which allow us to explore the surroundings with light packs. From the ridges, we discover the views on the hanging glaciers, the high peaks, on the wide valleys and the colourful mountains of Kluane. With a bit of luck, we are able to see Canada’s highest peak, Mount Logan, at 5959m.
In the following days, we hike along a route scouted by Miléna and Max through wild valleys, down scree slopes, up grassy mountains, along clear water creeks, past wide mountain passes… Through these very diverse terrains and landscapes you experience wilderness hiking at its best!
Each day, we hike between 8 and 11km with never more than 800m elevation gain.
On day 5, we enjoy a second day of hiking with light packs in a valley with purple, green and grey rocks!
At all times during our week of backpacking we keep our binoculars handy and always remain on the lookout for wildlife! We are not only in the land of grizzly bears, but also of Dall sheep, caribou, wolves, marmots, peregrine falcons, golden eagles… In order not to miss out on wildlife observations, we suggest that you bring along a pair of light binoculars.

Transfer to the airport or connection with your next Yukon adventure
On this trip, we are proud to offer 100% home-made foods with home-made dehydrated meals and home-made snacks. This allows us to offer you only high quality and local food as well as to control our waste output. In fact, our trips are zero waste, we have banned plastic single-use bags and use only fabric bags to store our meals and snacks. As we carry all our gear and food with us, you should expect between 6 and 8kg of common gear and food per person, to go in your pack with your personal gear and tent.
